Our Story

SenseCloud was founded in Thessaloniki in 2019 by Eleni Kostopoulou and Mikael Lindqvist. Six years on we are twenty-two engineers, designers and customer-success specialists across Greece, Sweden and Portugal. We are bootstrapped, profitable since Q3 2024, and proud to have a customer who has renewed for five consecutive years. Timeline

2019

Eleni and Mikael draft SenseCloud at Café Tribeca, Thessaloniki. PulseLink v0.1 ships to a Lamia olive-oil plant.

2020

TagLake v1.0 (ClickHouse-backed) replaces the SQLite prototype. First Stockholm customer.

2021

Series of zero outside funding rounds. Hire #5: Faruk Demir joins as Lead Solutions Engineer.

2022

ISO 27001 certification. Athens Water (EYDAP) signs as customer #18.

2023

OpenSig released under Apache 2.0. €1.2M revenue-based facility from Uplift1.

2024

IEC 62443-4-1 certification. Profitable from Q3. 100th customer site goes live (Bor Copperworks).

2025

Gartner Cool Vendor. EU Innovation Radar selection. SenseCloud 4.0 ships SignalDesk.

2026

41 customers, 14 countries, 187,000 tags. SenseCloud 4.2 ships native Snowflake reverse-ETL.
